Roger Harrison is a writer, photographer, and adventure sports enthusiast. He lived in Saudi Arabia for ten years before participating in the gliding expedition that inspired the book. His work for the book allowed him to combine his loves of flying, photography, and the written word. He currently lives in Jeddah with his wife and is building a library of photographs to record the Kingdom for future archiving.
